Revered jewelry house, Buccellati, is set to unveil a breathtaking exhibition, ‘The Prince of Goldsmiths, Rediscovering the Classics.’ This exquisite showcase is meticulously crafted and produced by Balich Wonder Studio, featuring a curated selection by Alba Cappellieri that spotlights the intrinsic artistry in Buccellati’s jewelry and silverware.

The exhibition’s title, ‘The Prince of Goldsmiths,’ was bestowed upon Mario Buccellati by Italian writer Gabriele d’Annunzio in 1936. Now, decades later, Buccellati continues to redefine and rediscover the profound value of the ‘classic,’ viewing it as a taste capable of transcending temporal boundaries and achieving a timeless legacy through its inherent beauty and craftsmanship. Tradition, for Buccellati, is not a static concept but a dynamic and living force.

“The classics offer the pleasure of rediscovery, evoking worlds of beauty, elegance, art and nature beyond time. Reinterpreting them means reinterpreting millennial traditions, materials and forms with an always up-to-date look. This is the aim of the exhibition, which to us becomes an even more precious moment as it is hosted in the evocative setting of Venice. The classics are a bridge thrown between the past and the future as well as evidence of an original style to be perpetuated in times to come,” describes Andrea Buccellati, Creative Director at the brand.

As attendees explore ‘The Prince of Goldsmiths, Rediscovering the Classics,’ they will witness not only the mastery of Mario Buccellati but also the brand’s unwavering dedication to conquering eternity through the art of jewelry-making.

The exhibition will showcase jewellery and silverware creations, while highlighting significant events and suggestions that have shaped the history of the Maison. The exhibition is divided into four themes: The “Generations” of the Buccellati family, who over the years, both today and in the past, have taken turns in guiding the artistic direction of the brand, symbolically represented by the butterfly icon; Elegant gallantries and precious accessories in silver and gold that have embodied the sense of elegance over time; Silver masterpieces, known for the Buccellati mastery used to give them the perfect shape and proportions, by using the ancient techniques of embossing and chiseling; finally, the icons of Buccellati jewellery displayed as authentic works of art, creating an evocative parallel with classical myths.
