Kross Studio roars into the Lunar Year of the Dragon with new Game of Thrones-inspired collector sets

Cutting-edge watchmaking again blends with the mysterious world of Westeros to produce five more fascinating sets.

Once again, in partnership with Warner Bros., the creative Swiss house, Kross Studio, is back to the dragon for inspiration. More precisely, back to Game of Thrones.

Kross Studio Game of Thrones

Building upon the success of the initial five sets of a mesmerizing Central Floating Tourbillon watch and an exquisite Dragon Egg Functional Sculpture, which were released in 2023, Syrax, Caraxes, Meleys, Vhagar, and Vermax join Drogon, Rhaegal, Viserion, and Balerion. This circle of 10 unique and exclusive pieces allows fans to immerse themselves in the mythical realm of Westeros. And we are pretty sure you’ll find your preferred colour.

These meticulously crafted timepieces – as before – are propelled by the cutting-edge KS 7’005 caliber, a patented manual-winding floating central tourbillon, meticulously designed, crafted, and assembled within our workshops.

The innovative timekeeping mechanism unfolds with the display of hours and minutes in a distinctive peripheral format, made possible by an ingenious planetary gear system that completes a 360° orbit around the central tourbillon. A meticulously calculated 12-factor gear ratio within the planetary system imparts a seamless progression to the hours, creating a captivating visual spectacle.

Elevating this horological innovation further, the hour-and-minute display system is anchored on two expansive, high-precision ball bearings. This strategic design not only enhances the aesthetic elegance of the timepieces but also optimizes the overall movement’s efficiency, showcasing the fusion of artistic brilliance and technical precision.

The Dragon Egg Functional Sculpture opens as a nest for the Game of Thrones Central Floating Tourbillon or any preferred timepiece. The chosen timepiece can be gracefully positioned on a cushion, elegantly supported by two towers reminiscent of the architectural design of Dragonstone Castle—the ancestral stronghold of House Targaryen.

Marco Tedeschi, founder of Kross Studio, ensured that each design was carefully planned down to the smallest detail, inside and out. At the base of the stand, a meticulously crafted structure offers seven slots, each representing one of the saga’s seven kingdoms. This thoughtful detail pays homage to the intricate narrative woven throughout the Game of Thrones series.

“I am delighted to unveil new pieces inspired by the dragons of the series ‘Game of Thrones’ and its prequel ‘House of the Dragon’, celebrating these mythical creatures and what they represent. Each Collector Set is an unexpected creation, meticulously crafted, boldly blending watchmaking with the mysteries of the dragons of Westeros,” explained Mr. Tedeschi.
