Indulgence shops – that serve an extended purpose – have become necessities for almost every luxury brand. Keeping pace with the speed, Louis Vuitton also expanded its presence outside of France. Following the success of its shops in Paris and Courchevel, Louis Vuitton has now opened its chocolate shop, Le Chocolat Maxime Frédéric, for the first time outside of France. Blessed are the Singaporeans who will get to witness the taste of some of the most delectable chocolates inspired by the codes of Louis Vuitton without taking a flight to Paris!
The new shop stands in the Louis Vuitton Marina Bay Sands flagship in Singapore. At the heart of this chocolate haven is Maxime Frédéric, the esteemed master chocolatier and pastry chef from Cheval Blanc Paris, whose vision aligns seamlessly with the ethos of Louis Vuitton.
Drawing inspiration from the brand’s signature motifs, the chocolate offerings are nothing short of artistry. To enchant locals and global travelers alike, there will be a delectable offering of Vivienne on Malle, Damier-shaped Chocolate Tablets, Petula and Monogram tablets, Monogram Flower, Chocolate Bar, Filled Trunk Tablets, and more.
Promising the sweetest luxury, the specially crafted Filled Heart Saint Valentine has heart-shaped chocolates in pistachio, almond, and hazelnut flavors is another not-be-missed highlight.
Chef Frédéric says “We began to see a lot of similarities between our work as pastry chefs and the skills of Louis Vuitton artisans, whether woodworkers or locksmiths for trunks. This is all about artisanal craftsmanship, and is totally comparable to our craft as pastry chefs, bakers and chocolatiers.”
As haute couture turns to cuisine to add an experiential flavour to their offerings, we hope to see more of Le Chocolat Maxime Frédéric springing up across the world.
