Amalgamating a car and whisky has never been so interesting. Renowned globally for its exceptional single-malt whiskies, The Macallan has notched up a groundbreaking merge of automotive design and fine whisky by teaming up with Bentley Motors. And the collaboration has birthed The Macallan Horizon.
This marks the first-ever release of this distinctive creation, unveiling an expertly crafted single-malt Scotch whisky housed in a visionary horizontal vessel. This vessel, adorned with a unique 180-degree twist detail, mirrors the forward trajectory of the automotive world. It’s a neat way of showing how things in the car world and this special drink can be connected in a fun and creative way!
Drawing inspiration from The Macallan’s Six Pillars, which form the foundation of its character, the partnership pays homage to tradition while raising the bar for whisky aficionados and creative collaboration within the luxury industry.

Central to The Macallan Horizon’s allure is its presentation in a bespoke glass vessel. Quite challenging to the conventional norms, this vessel is designed to be showcased horizontally. An aluminum ribbon, meticulously crafted to Bentley’s exacting standards, pays homage to the material used in Bentley motorcars, enhancing the vessel’s aesthetic appeal.
Encased in a sculpture adorned with low carbon leather in a rich chestnut hue, The Macallan Horizon is meticulously protected and embellished. A recycled copper frame, incorporating copper from The Macallan’s historic stills, further emphasizes the collaboration’s commitment to sustainability and heritage. Integral to both brands, oak wood from one of the six casks used in the whisky’s maturation adorns the closure, inspired by Bentley’s design elements.
Meticulously crafted by The Macallan Master Whisky Maker Kirsteen Campbell, from six first-fill sherry seasoned oak casks, the whisky has been created to capture the essence of a Bentley. The resulting whisky boasts indulgent notes of dried fruit and spice, perfectly balanced with oak and leather aromas, reminiscent of Bentley’s lavish world.
The Macallan and Bentley had announced their partnership in 2021. This limited-edition release, available exclusively in 70cl, will be offered at The Macallan Estate Boutique and handpicked retail outlets worldwide.
