Ralph Lauren just presented his Fall/Holiday 2024 collection – and it’s a shiny one. The American brand epitomized quintessential New York elegance for its show, captivating an intimate gathering of around 100 attendees. Departing from his recent lavish showcases in metropolitan hubs, the Bronx-born legend Ralph Lauren, and his illustrious brand, returned to his origins, presenting his latest creations within the hallowed halls of his office building.
The designer aimed to evoke the ambiance of his original office, adorning the runway with chairs and oversized portraits, reminiscent of his first women’s show in 1972, which he presented to a select group of editors in his office. The runway evoked a nostalgic homage to the brand’s beginnings.
“The woman I design for has a beauty that comes from an inner confidence. She dresses for herself. Her style is personal and bold. She’ll throw a hand-tailored jacket over a glamorous evening dress. She believes in quiet sophistication not defined by time or trends. My Fall/Holiday 2024 Collection is inspired by that woman, her sense of timelessness, her individuality — a style that is forever,” said Mr. Lauren, Chief Creative Officer of Ralph Lauren Corporation.
Speaking of the collection, a gorgeous palette of subdued neutrals and glistening metallics evoked the timeless allure of a woman exuding natural confidence.
Tailored suit jackets, gracefully draped knits, and sumptuous suede and leather separates pay homage to Ralph Lauren’s deeply personal inspirations.
Skillfully juxtaposing minimalism with artistic flair, the design elevates the brand’s signature pieces with intricate embellishments, combining beads and tweeds, patchwork and adornments.
Complementing the ensemble are elegant accessories, handbags, footwear, and jewelry, designed to harmonize with the season’s essence, with the inaugural showcase featuring the exquisite RL 888 Tote from Ralph Lauren’s latest RL 888 collection.
After the runway presentation, guests were greeted at The Polo Bar, Ralph Lauren’s renowned restaurant in New York City, where notable figures like Jessica Chastain, Glenn Close, Kerry Washington, Jodie Turner-Smith, and others were in attendance.
