Italian brand Balestra has been touching the right nerves ever since its recent rebirth. And its Pre-Fall 2024 collection, Beyond Touch, continues in the brand’s tradition of captivating fashion enthusiasts with its ability to slay with bold strokes and shades.
The new collection embodies a passionate exploration of materials, celebrating the unique textures and contrasts that make Italian craftsmanship renowned worldwide. Each piece is meticulously crafted from fabrics that not only look exquisite but also offer a distinct experience that has rich textures merged with remarkable aesthetics.
Among the standout looks from the collection is an all-black ensemble that exudes a bold, edgy vibe. With high-waisted shorts that resemble a bodysuit, the fit is paired with a matching jacket and thigh-high black boots. The result is a striking, powerful statement.
Another eye-catching piece from the collection is a sleeveless black dress adorned with a sheer, flowing overlay. This dress features a dramatic high slit, adding both movement and magnetism. It perfectly balances sensuality with a sophisticated touch, making it suitable for both formal and semi-formal occasions.
A white crop collared shirt is paired with shimmering golden pants, while a mini pleated skirt dips at the waist just alluringly so.

Speaking of the collection, Sofia Bertolli Balestra, artistic director of the brand, explained, “Since the Reload, each collection has been an exploration of new fabrics and silhouettes. We’ve moved from timeless embroidered evening gowns to more casual and sporty pieces like the inlaid leather jacket from the FW23. In this collection, I wanted to push this further, introducing recycled denim through a tailored oversized trench.”
She further added, “The Balestra tailored pajama is an ode to femininity. The embroidered long top embodies the union of the past with the future, synthesis through which the archive lives again. Among the special fabrics are the distressed painted cotton twill which retains the memory of touch and constantly changes. In the daywear selection there is also textured nylon which we have spread with pigment to give the fabric a new three-dimensionality. Balestra’s nature is to evolve and each collection is a springboard to experiment and give life to new stories and fabrics.”
