SEVENFRIDAY’s collaboration with Rocketbyz is a daring fusion of design & functionality

It’s an eye-popping timepiece that truly defies convention.

Watchmaker SEVENFRIDAY, known for its unabashed collaborations and daring designs, is once again pushing boundaries with its boldest collaboration yet. The brand has teamed up with Rocketbyz by Tomyboy to create a timepiece that is nothing short of audacious.

This newest release sees a blend of Tomyboy’s unmistakable neon-infused artistry with SEVENFRIDAY’s innovative FreeD technique, resulting in a watch that challenges the very idea of what a timepiece should be.

The partnership between SEVENFRIDAY and Tomyboy started in 2013 when the artist received a SEVENFRIDAY watch from a friend, hand-painted it in neon, and sent it to the brand’s founder, Dan.

The design was so striking that it immediately caught his attention despite some flaws. SEVENFRIDAY is known to challenge norms with its industrial-inspired lifestyle brand, crafting watches, eyewear, apparel, and accessories for those who live every day like it’s Friday. The brand’s ethos—“Show Me, Don’t Tell Me”—celebrates action over words, creativity over conformity, and an unwavering commitment to pushing the limits of design.

Getting back to the collaboration, this moment sparked a friendship and led to their first official collaboration in 2015, a limited 50-piece, hand-painted neon watch that sold out within two hours!

The momentum continued in 2020 with the introduction of carbon into the neon mix, which also sold out in days. Now, five years later, the duo is back with a timepiece that embodies day, night, and neon—all meticulously crafted to evoke a spectrum of emotions.

UV-reactive 3D-printed details, like the bold “R” and playful “WTF,” glow brilliantly in the dark, adding an interactive edge. Even the gunmetal time capsule‘s luminous glow pierces the darkness.

Apart from the aesthetics, SEVENFRIDAY has meticulously sourced and applied the finest lume by hand. It is big, unconventional, and unapologetically brash. The collection is available in three colorways with each limited to 25 pieces and priced at US$ 6,000.
