Meliá is set to bring a splash to Pattaya, Thailand

Their new five-star destination will showcase Pattaya’s ethnic diversity, coupled with picturesque Gulfside views.

In association with Asset World Corporation (AWC), Meliá Hotels International will introduce its hospitality to Pattaya with its first-ever hotel in the city. Meliá Pattaya Hotel, a 234-room luxury property, pays tribute to Pattaya’s rich cultural heritage. Rising 12 stories on Second Road (Pattaya Sai Song) and a short drive from Bangkok, the hotel offers panoramic views of the Gulf of Thailand while immersing guests in a design inspired by the city’s diverse communities.

It follows the brand’s steady rollout across Thailand, joining Meliá Koh Samui (2020), Meliá Phuket Mai Khao (2021), Meliá Chiang Mai (2022), and INNSiDE By Meliá Bangkok Sukhumvit (2023). The hotel is set to open on February 15.

Meliá Pattaya Hotel offers a deep connection to local heritage. The lobby and lounge pay homage to Nong Mon Market, with bamboo-referenced surfaces reminiscent of Khao Lam, the region’s signature sticky rice roasted in bamboo. The pool bar channels the laid-back culture of Jomtien Beach while nodding to the influx of Americans to Pattaya in the 1960s and ’70s.

The hotel’s Lay Beach Club on Beach Road provides direct access to Pattaya Beach, while a rooftop restaurant and sky bar, executive lounge, swimming pool with a function lawn and bar, YHI Spa, Kidsdom kids’ club, gym, coworking space, and meeting venues complete the experience.

Food and beverage venues at Meliá Pattaya Hotel are designed to reflect the city’s diverse cultural influences. The Yitong Chinese Restaurant & Sky Bar serves Cantonese cuisine with Sichuan influences for the guests to enjoy, while watching the sweeping views of Pattaya’s famed sunsets.

Sanehh Sarae, the hotel’s all-day dining restaurant, is dedicated to the Bang Saray fishing village and its fresh, locally sourced seafood. Den, a Japanese-Peruvian Nikkei restaurant, pays tribute to Si Racha’s “Little Japanese Town” and the Japanese expat presence in Thailand during the “Thailand 3.0” economic era.

The hotel’s 234 rooms, ranging from 27 to 125 sqm, cater to both leisure and business travelers. The Deluxe Rooms offer city or sea views, while the Premium and The Level rooms provide upgraded amenities and Gulf-facing vistas. The Level suites, including the Presidential Suite, span up to 125 sqm for guests seeking extra space and exclusivity. All the rooms take inspiration from waves and water in their design and color palette.

A highlight of The Level experience is the private lounge on the second floor, where guests enjoy an upgraded breakfast, afternoon refreshments, and access to a pre-function area and ballroom inspired by the Baan Puek Weaving Community.

Located in the heart of Pattaya, the hotel offers easy access to Walking Street, Central Festival Pattaya, Terminal21, the Sanctuary of Truth, and the Bali Hai Pier. For island escapes, Koh Larn and other scenic destinations are just offshore.
