This season, without a designer at the helm, Gucci revisits its core identity, embracing the codes that have defined the house while pushing them forward. The collection refocuses on Gucci’s DNA through meticulous craftsmanship and timeless silhouettes. The iconic Interlocking G motif, woven across the floor and ceiling of the event, staged the showcase. While a beautiful collection, the brand is playing it safe and stylish while it waits for a creative designer.
The runway itself symbolized duality—men’s and women’s collections intertwining like a double helix, seamlessly merging traditionally masculine and feminine elements.
Tailoring took center stage, with structured, sharply cut suits infused with playful details, and electric bursts of color. Classic British tweeds were reimagined in fluid, sinuous silhouettes, bridging the gap between sharp precision and soft elegance.
Fabric experimentation ran rampant, with brushed mohair shirting, mother-of-pearl leathers, coated wools, and bonded bouclés reinforcing Gucci’s signature balance between classicism and rebellion.
A palette of greens, greys, mauves, and browns united the looks, creating a cohesive, sophisticated visual language. The collection also paid homage to Gucci’s heritage by embracing a synthesis of decades.

The collection seemed like a wonderful amalgamation of former designers Alessandro Michele’s exuberance and Sabato De Sarno’s confident sensuality.
Despite this interplay of time periods, signature Gucci motifs remained the connective tissue. Among these enduring motifs, the Horsebit reigned supreme. Celebrating its 70th anniversary, the emblem appeared in countless iterations, from oversized to micro, adorning leather goods, waist chains, and even jewelry.
The classic Horsebit 1955 bag received a fresh update with ultra-soft construction, while the new Gucci Siena bag featured a half-Horsebit fastening, embodying both precision and luxury.
The motif found its way onto footwear, gracing everything from sleek loafers to indulgently comfortable slippers. The show’s cinematic grandeur was amplified by a live orchestra performing an original score by multi-award-winning composer and conductor Justin Hurwitz.
The music, like the fashion, struck a perfect balance between nostalgia and innovation, weaving together the distinct narratives of menswear and womenswear into a singular, harmonious vision. The Fall Winter 2025 by Gucci was evolved and stylish.
After Alessandro Michele’s unexpected exit in November 2022, Sabato De Sarno also departed from the brand after two years. Gucci has yet to announce its next creative director, but with declining sales, all eyes are on the house’s next move.
